The Day after the Dawn after the Night of the Living Dead...

Boeing contract negotiators are like freakin' zombies.

I mean, I figured that the last time a Boeing negotiator could mess with me and my Spirit AeroSystems coworkers was during our "effects bargaining" process, as we were being "divested." After that, they would be dead to us. But nooooooooooo...

Based upon the news reports and grapevine gossip I've read, it now seems that the Corporate Comp guy who presented the second-class contract offer to Boeing's Wichita engineers is the same guy whose laptop was stolen out of a car in a local parking lot, screwing the rest of us, too.

Happy Anniversary...

October 20, 2005

Dear William,

Congratulations on your milestone of 25 years of service. Your contributions are sincerely appreciated and deserving of recognition.

As we continue the transition from Boeing to Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. and beyond, it is important to us that your accomplishment not be "lost" amidst all the changes and activity. Our company is working hard to establish new processes, one of which is service award recognition. We feel it would be most appropriate to officially honor your achievement when the process has been implemented.

So, for now, please accept our congratulations. We will look forward to getting back in touch with you soon.

Sincerely,

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc.
